On 23 Nov, GHMC election 2009 is being held & hence, twenty thousand security personnel are arranged for the event.

B Prasada Rao told that this securities members covers the forces from Forest and Excise, Special Protection Force (SPF), APSP etc, & out of this nine thousands had came from different districts.

Some of the orders have been issued by commissioner of police for regarding corporation polls. The assembly has been banned by the police for more than 5 people in the radius of two hundred meters from the polling stations. But the orders will be come in action from 23 in the timings of 6 am to 6 pm. [smartads]

The commissioner explained that the total of 581 areas is there where pickets will be arranged to provide peaceful polling.

He said that the highly sensitive areas must include 1 police constable & 2 home guards, where as the sensitive areas should have 1 police constable, 1 head constable & 1 home guard. He added that even all the 5 zones will cover the 388 mobile parties.

Till 19 Nov, 38 NBWs were implemented. Around 8 cases are there in oppose of the selling of liquor, & 7 people were arrested & 1,530 ML of illicit liquor was seized.
