Today morning polling was started for the  Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections, & arrangements of security were made tight.

Total of 57 lakh voters are demand, at around 5,719 polling stations which were made all over the capital of Andhra.  [smartads]

26,000 polling personnel & 13,347 Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) had been arranged by the state Election Commission.

The protection is planned by providing 18,000 policemen along with the 3 companies of Rapid Action Force & Special Forces of OCTOPUS.

Overall 1310 candidates are appointed, for almost 150 sections of GHMC.

INC’s candidates have been allotted in all the 150 divisions, BJP on 137, MIM-70, CPI-35, and CPM-13 Lok Satta 126 & TDP on 41.
