Today i.e. 9^th Dec 2009 is the International Anti-Corruption Day.

General Assembly nominated 9^th Dec as International Anti-Corruption Day from the year 2003. It was announced to increase awareness about corruption. The UN Convention is playing an important role in fighting against corruption.

The Jaago Re Corruption Index relaunched its website www.jaagore.com. On Tuesday The Jaago Re Vrath Yatra was launched in Delhi by N Santosh Hegde- Lokayukta Justice. He said that in the year 2008 over 265 officers was caught with bribe. N Santosh Hegde said that ‘Khilana Bandh, Pilana Shuru is an violent way to prevent corruption.

In Mumbai, Bangalore & Delhi, Jaago Re Corruption Index will be performed quarterly to know the condition of corruption.
