BlackBerry users can’t forget the incident which happened on Dec 22, as BlackBerry phones outaged (blackout). Even BlackBerry hasn’t explained the reason behind that.
BlackBerry users got frustrated by the outage during internet usage & even 1 can’t expect BlackBerry to refund the money which got wasted during outage at paid service time. [smartads]
It was reported that BlackBerry outage commenced around 3:30 pm PST, & the outage service returned back just before Pacific Time’s midnight. BlackBerry outage took over 8 hours, so its users remain out of service, with no internet surfing, emailing, or online searches.
This is for the 2nd time in December 2009 that major outage has affected BlackBerry users, & subscribers might switch over to some other service provider. BlackBerry had emailed to customers:
“BlackBerry subscribers may be unable to send or receive messages. Subscribers may also be unable to register their device, roam in another location, or use other services such as Internet browsing. BlackBerry Internet Service subscribers may be unable to use the BlackBerry Internet Service web site or perform activities such as creating new accounts, integrating third-party email accounts, or viewing email attachments.”
BlackBerry hadn’t even disclosed the reason behind outage, they hadn’t given any explanations. BlackBerry need to face its customers which largely comprises of corporate people & these people need to demand BlackBerry to answer for outage. As there is no assurance that this BlackBerry outage would not happen again.
There are some rumors behind this that this BlackBerry outage happened because of over usage of BlackBerry during holiday season, or the outage happened as too many users might be using the system at same point of time.
No reason would be considered good by BlackBerry users, & even BlackBerry users wouldn’t be happy at all.
