The govt. had still, simplified the doubts of those existing taxi drivers, who already have a valid license, they would be unaffected by the decision.

Maharashtra CM said, “Cabinet has followed Maharashtra Motor vehicles rules which were structured in 1989. According to that compulsory rule, a person can have permit if he has at least lived for 15 years in Maharashtra & 2nd rule says that to get a taxi badge, a driver, is necessarily required to have familiarity with local language.

Raj Thackery exclaimed,” How could CM Chavan alter the joint decision of the cabinet.”

MNS Chief termed CM Chavan’s ‘about turn’ as a symbol of ‘lachari’ & then MNS Chief Raj said, “CM does not have the potential to remain permanent by the cabinet decision.”

Raj Thackery said, “Every state take such actions for people’s benefit.” He added, “If Govt. will not give permits to Marathi people for four thousand new taxis, then MNS party will not let these taxis to travel on the road. Who so ever want to take it as threat, they can do so.”
