Subir Raha, debatably the most powerful previous chairman of Govt.’s Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, passed away due to cancer on Monday.
Subir Raha was 62 years old. Subir Raha, was diagnosed with lung cancer past year, was seriously unwell last week & was under treatment at a nursing home in Delhi, family & friends told.
He expired at around 3:22pm. Subir Raha is recognized of taking ONGC where it is now, India’s biggest oil & gas manufacturer. [smartads]
Subir Raha solely took ONGC’s vertical incorporation by obtaining Mangalore Refinery (MRPL) & assertively pursued abroad forays, unobserved after his exit.
Before ONGC, Subir Raha worked as Director at the Indian Oil Corporation, where he had started his profession as a Mgt. trainee in 1970.
