M.B Lal comes up with a cheap solution as compare to the cost of an air conditioner. The journalist had converted a cooler into a simple yet efficient air conditioner.
The machine reduces the average room temp. By 7 degrees than cooler. The equipment uses the same amount of electricity. It has the price between Rs 5000 to Rs 7000.
Lal is working on machine from 4 years. Lal is of 81 years.
Lal said that there total 3 elements which made it differ from cooler. Those products are a 100- foot copper wire, a water pump & a metal sheet.
He further added that in the hot days of June, 2007, the idea of making such machine click in his mind, & from that moment only he started working on this project. [smartads]
He said that once he asked his wife to bring a glass of water but she brought a plate of ice.
After that he felt that the temperature cools down when air passes by a cool object.
He explained the way by which he made the machine. He added that once he took a wooden box & twisted many spiral wholes in it, & then inserted metal foils & filled the whole box with ice cubes. Lateron used a small fan to see the force of air& he noticed that as the air forced out of it, the air becomes much cooler than before.
Such demo helps him to create such a modal.
Lal even got the help of a lakh rupee from the Union ministry of science and technology in March, 2009.
Lal’s machine is liked by number of people. Infact many of his own neighbors are seen using the modal, & moreover some foreigners who lives in Delhi, is also hiring Snowbreeze.
Lal said that any middle class family can easily purchased it because it has the cost of 5000 to 7000 & it uses only chilled water to get the cool breeze.
