Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress, all set to post a record in the Kolkata Municipal Elections. She’s also far ahead of the Left Front in the civic elections in the rest of West Bengal.

Trinamool Congress is far ahead with 97 wards out of 141. The next comes Left Front with a mere lead in 31 seats; a very big lead. Even after the Tata Nano turmoil in West Bengal, the aristocratic pocket of Kolkata, Salt Lake has shown love toward the change. First time in 15 years, Trinamool has won in 18 out of 25 wards in this region.

In the other municipalities of the State, which totals to 81, TMC is leading in 31, while the Left is leading in 23. The Congress is leading in 9 seats. The results as of 11:40, when the results on 63 seats were been declared.

Mamata is presently in New Delhi, & Madan Mitra, TMC leader told that the real celebration will start when she’ll land in Kolkata on Wednesday. He further added, “Mamata Banerjee’s flight has got the right take off.

We are waiting for her to land in Kolkata. The real celebration will start on her arrival. The victory is tremendous. Our responsibilities have doubled. We have to plan everything for the welfare of people of the state.”
