
Corolla altis diesel
The automobile industry saw the launching of Corolla Altis, on Wednesday which is actually a premium sedan’s diesel version estimated from Rs 10.95 lakh to an alarming amount of Rs 13.75 lakh for ex showroom Delhi.
The toyota india made sure that the toyota corolla altis diesel was priced at a lower price in comparison to its competitors Skoda Laura starting at Rs 13.74 lakh and the Chevrolet Cruze from Rs 11.52 to 13.95 lakh.
The launching of BS-IV car has made India the first country in Asia to have this opportunity. A 1.4L in-line 4-cylinder D-4D Common Rail Diesel Engine is the greatest feature of this new car which is capable of generating 250Nm of peak torque and 88.4 PS of peak power.
The Land Cruiser 200, the Fortuner, the Prado and the Innova also use the D-4D technology of Toyota. With a mileage of 21.43Km/litre, the corolla altis comes with a transmission of 6-speed and according to Deputy Managing Director (Marketing), Mr Sandeep Singh the Corolla club is expecting the sale of 15,000 units from the 2011 range of Corolla Altis. This altis diesel is also available in CNG and petrol.
The Etios: small car.
A compact car, Etios will be launched in December by TKM which according to Mr Singh will really surprise the consumers. “Next year, the total sales of the company will be 1.5 lakh units out of which we expect the Etios to be around 67,000 units,” He maintained that the new car will be launched with petrol version but the market response might generate options for a diesel version too.
Rise in Fortuner’s demand
After the bookings for Fortuner reopened this month the company had 2,500 fresh orders for the Toyota’s sports utility car which just refuses to come down.

Hi … even i was scared when i bought the new 1.4 machine saying its under powered by numbers yeah it is but while u drive when the turbo opens the power n pickup is awesome …. so anyway toyota has done its best as when within city u cant drive more than 50 n on highways when the turbo opeenss its powerful so guy surely toyota has its brand name with low running cost go for it…
