BANGALORE : Mohammad Azharuddin, India’s former Captain is shying away from the media to throwing more light upon his relationship with Badminton player, Jwala Gutta.

On the other side, Jwala is also keeping mum about her part of the story. Sources say she was not very happy with her rumors about the relationship with Azharuddin.

“Jwala doesn’t want to speak, she’s too upset. She’s denying all these rumours,” the ‘agent’ said.

Azharuddin is still waiting for divorce from wife, Sangeeta Bijlani. Some time back, Azhar was standing as a candidate for the rank of President of Badminton Association of India. He would visit often, most probably to see Jwala palying and being trained. “These reports are rubbish, baseless and are in bad taste.

I am very hurt by all these. I know Jwala, she is a good friend of mine and to write such reports which are completely false and fabricated is disgusting,” Azharuddin was quoted saying.

According to Azhar, such rumors are planned to ruin his image and career by officials in the Badminton Association of India.

Jwala is a very good player and she is a great prospect for the country. She has been doing well and will win many medals for the country in future. So I just want to request everybody to just leave her alone and not get her into this cheap controversy
