The Bhartiya Janata Party observed Shaurya Divas on Sunday in the memory of those warriors who fought for India during the Kargil war, where thousands of women were left widowed and even more kids, orphaned.

The BJP Yuva Morcha organized a program coordinated by president Maheshinder Singh Sidhu, on Sunday in Sector-3, Chandigarh war Memorial. The BJP members paid tributes to the real time heroes in form of flowers.

The War Memorial was decorated with flowers and lights everywhere.

In the evening time, another program was organized by the Mahila BJP Morcha at the sector-17 plaza.

the BJP State President, Sanjay Tandon, and more including Vice President Raghuvir Lal Arora, Treasurer Girdhari Lal Jindal, Secretary Sachin Lohtiya were there during the function.

About the war, the BJP General Secretay, Vijay Goe said, “Party president Nitin Gadkari along with other leaders will pay tribute to the martyrs of the war at India gate’s Amar Jawan Jyoti (Flame of the immortal warrior) on the day at 5:30 pm.

We lost our 527 soldiers in the 1999 Kargil war. ‘The Indian Army with all its great might and struggle won the war in just 74 days, pushing out the Pakistani infiltrators.”
