Yamaha has launched its three new motor bikes in India- the SZ, the SZ-X, and the YBR 125. While taking a look at the features and new additions of the first two, the 153 cc engine with a single cylinder motor tends to grab all the eyeballs. Falling within the power commuter category the SZ also boasts of a unique shaped chassis. The SZ comes with a kick start, while the SZ-X is equipped with an electric starter.

The Bajaj Discover 150 DTSi as well as the Honda Unicorn can turn out to be tough competitors for SZ.  The expanding 150 cc commuter segment has prompted the launch of SZ and it is looked upon as a more stylish vehicle. The company had been shifting its focus gradually from the premium segment to the commuter ones and claims the new entrants to be equipped with world class quality. However, the omission of disc brakes from the new models has been pointed out as a major flaw, not to forget the comparatively higher price range. The Rs. 42000 and Rs. 52000 tags for SZ and SZ-X respectively do offer an advantage to the competitors such as Bajaj Discover 150 DTSi and the CB Unicorn.
