The CAT 2010 is backing a lot many expectations in terms of the conduction of examination ever since the believability hit in the year 2009. Some of the major changes that the exam will surface in place of the 2009 CAT will be the examination duration that has been changed to 20 days while prior to this it was for only 10 days. The exam will also be conducted at only quality centers so that the stress involved can be back lashed and also the infrastructure of testing can be improved. Other aspects haven’t undergone much changes and this includes similar procedures of voucher payment, registration process, testing drills and the long wait for the result.
The actuality behind the claims of improvement will be visible in the due course of time but until then there are certain spots that we wish the exam conducting bodies can work on improving like the declaration of the results to be sufficed earlier for convenience of students taking the test. Also the Prometric should explicitly provide a retest option for students if the things go amiss in any way. The voucher payment modes also need to be revised and made more flexible with the advent of internet payment options that can save the students from long queues and also the extreme weather conditions of the country. Another aspect that needs to be worked on is the even distribution of examination centers particularly in bigger cities with more applicants.
By locating near by centers based on the applicant location the Prometric can cut down a lot of inconvenience students have to suffer while commuting under so much of stress. Last but not the least Prometric should follow a better disclaimer policy in cases of question leakage of the exams. With these points of improvement in hand we do hope that the CAT exams are convened to more examinee friendly basis. If you agree or can add something to this, we look forward to your comments on this issue. For CAT IIM Registration 2010 Click here
