We Are Family

India’s Got Talent, the highly-rated reality show on Colors, saw the star-cast of “We are Family” on its sets. Karan Johar along with Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal were the chief guests of the evening.

These special guests joined the three judges of the show, Sajid Khan, Kirron Kher and Sonali Bendre, on the panel to enjoy the enthralling performances of the day. The belly dancing act by a troop of girls who were part of the Banjara School of Dance specially mesmerized Arjun Rampal who joined them on the stage.

Arjun Rampal reportedly said: “I am speechless. The way these girls move, it’s just amazing. I’m glad that this kind of belly dancing talent is seen in India. I’d really like to learn the art myself. I must say, India’s Got Talent and the judges have done a great job in finding and bringing this talent to the fore.”

These belly dancers were so moved by Arjun’s words of encouragement that they wanted to showcase their talent in front of a yet bigger audience. They expressed their sentiments saying, “We hope that the art of belly dancing is more recognized and appreciated in India. As a society, India still looks down upon belly-dancing as an art or profession. We would like this attitude to change and people to embrace it as a special art and true talent”.

It was also heard that these belly dancers caught the fancy of everyone on the sets. While Arjun Rampal was awed by their talent, Kirron was mesmerized by their attires and Sajid Khan simply fell in love with the performers themselves.

“We are Family” is made under the banner of Dharma Productions and will be out in the theatres on 2 September 2010. Arjun Rampal, Kajol and Kareena Kapoor along with three kids form part of the star ensemble of this movie. The movie is directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra. Although Kajol was missing on the sets, maybe because of her pregnancy concerns, the three of them really carried on the promotion of the movie to the hilt on their own.

This episode will be aired on Friday, 3rd September at 9 p.m. on the popular reality show ‘India’s Got Talent-Khoj 2’ on Colors.
