GATE ina n examination which is conducted by The Indian Institute Of Science and seven Indian Institute Of Technology. This year Indian Institute of Technology, Madras has taken responsibility of conducting the examination.

It is a good opportunity for students trying to build there career in engineering. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) of this year has been announced to be conducting on 30th January 2011, online whereas the offline would be taking place on 13th January, 2011. The sale of application form or brochure will be started from 21st September 2010 and the submission of online application will also start from the same date 9:00 a.m onwards.

Last date for issue of application form and brochure is 29th October, 2010 whereas at zonal GATE office counters it is 29th October,2010. Lats sate for receiving completed application form at zonal office counter is 2nd November, 2010.

The final list of registered candidates will be published on website on 19th December, 2010. In case of discrepancy in choice of city or GATE paper. The candidate must report on 31st December, 2010 and non-receipt of admit card for online examination should report on 20th January 2011.

Online examination of paper GG and TF will be taking place on 30th January, 2010 from 9a.m- 12 and examination of AE and MN will be from 2p.m-5p.m on the same date. Whereas, offline examination of GATE of papers AR, BT, CE, CH, CD, ME, PH and PI will taken on 13th February 2011 from 9a.m-12 and papers of AG, CY, EC, EE, IN, MA, MT, XE and XL will be taken on the same date i.e 13th February but from 2p.m-5p.m.
