Actress Konkona Sen Sharma tied the knot with actor Ranvir Shorey at their residence in Mumbai on Friday evening. They got married at their home in Goregaon where they have been living together since two years.

The duo insisted on having a low-key affair having only close friends and actors Fardeen Khan and Shilpa Shetty present for the d-day. The two of them also posed out for the paparazzi outside the venue. On being questioned about the groom, a guest said: “Ranvir clearly stood out among all the baraatis and was looking smashing in his wedding attire.”

Although Ranvir was once caught on the camera, Konkona remained strictly under wraps among her close family and friends away from the media frenzy.

The Bollywood seemed missing from the scene with the exception of Fardeen Khan, Shilpa Shetty and Koel Purie.

The rituals of the wedding were done with a mélange of both Bengali and Punjabi traditions. Konkona looked splendid in the traditional Bengali jewellery inherited from her grandmother. Her mother Aparna Sen seemed proud during the ceremonies. Ranvir Shorey must have had a tough time matching up to her attired in a traditional shervani and covered with flowers all over.

It is also speculated that the couple rushed off towards an unknown destination after the completion of the marriage rituals for their reception. Both of them have been known to keep their professional lives separate from their personal ones. That is why; they have not yet come out clean in the public about their relationship. A guest further reinforces the fact: “Most industry folks were not invited even to this function. Konkona and Ranvir have always been very low profile people and they are not likely to ever change.”

As they say, opposites attract each other. But likes seem to have found each other this time. Opposites or likes, is not the matter of prime concern, it is just the question of compatibility. And we wish for them all the good wishes for a bright future together.
