[Video] Super Bowl 2011: Aguilera and Groupon’s major goof-up

Christina Aguilera has issued an apology after the singer blundered at the previous night Super Bowl while performing the national anthem of the USA. She bent the lyrics of the anthem several times over and sang, “What so proudly we watched at the twilight’s light gleaming?” instead of “O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?” and she sang “watched” in place of “hailed” in the next line.

England v PakistanThe on-going npower test series, the 2nd day of the 1st test brought augured well for England at Trent Bridge. The morning session was dominated by Pakistan’s Mohammad Asif who got 5 wickets for him-self  but after that Pakistan didn’t manage to do anything right. The conditions on the pitch were favourable to bowlers with 12 wickets tumbling down for just 113 runs.

Karnam Malleshwari demands termination of IWF secretary’s service term

After the suspension of Ramesh Malhotra the weight lifting coach, Karnam Malleswari the Olympic bronze medalist has demanded the termination of Sahdev Yadav the secretary of Indian Weightlifting Federation for dismissing the complaints made against the coach on Monday. The vice- president in Indian Weightlifting Federation, Karnam Malleswari commented that this step is necessary so that nothing like this is repeated in the near future. When at her residence, Malleswari informed reporters, “Suspending the coach is not enough. The Federation secretary should also be sacked because he didn’t act against Malhotra despite repeated complaints. If he is not sacked then people like Malhotra will be made coach again”
