The Telangana bandh took an ugly turn when the local forces clashed with the activists at the Osmania University.

The 48 hour bandh asking for the separate statehood within Hyderabad and ten districts of Andhra Pradesh began this morning.

HYDERADABAD (DLN), 21st May 2010: Above 70,000 persons have been removed & moved to 300 aid campgrounds due to Cyclone “Laila” struck sea-shore area of Andhra Pradesh (AP). A massive population was removed in 4 southern costal regions of Prakasam, Guntur, Krishna & Nellore.

The intense cyclone storm Laila approached forward from the Andhra Pradesh coast close to Bapatla in Guntur district in the afternoon hours on Thursday. Authorities told huge storm surge were visible in the Bengal-Bay when the cyclone strike the coast about 50 km from Bapatla town. Harsh winds with a speed of 125 km/h wrought terrible near and far the coast as Laila approaches forward from the coast after transforms its duration repeatedly during the previous 3 days.

Hundreds of students were dishonored prohibitory orders and aimed at marching towards the State Assembly to interrupt the current budget session in hold up of separate Telangana. Today Police has taken them into preventive custody.

In Andhra Pradesh, Normal life of people is affected due to bandh called by President of TRS K Chandrasekhar & other leaders of Telangana for two days. The band is called to protest Telangana by TRS. The violent activities taken place at some places in Telangana. Telangana supporters & students came on the streets in Teleangana, Hydrabad & pelt stones on shops and buses.
