Nine days after an 8.degree earthquake killed hundreds of public in south-central Chile, relief efforts were start to reach those in need, rescue missions became upturn missions, and transformation is already under way. In the days since the February 27th quake, nearly 150 aftershocks have been recorded, including thirteen above magnitude 6.0. The administration has been criticized by Chileans, who say the response was slow and wasteful. One recent government act was to grant a short amnesty to looters before
transfer troops out in search of stolen goods. Nearly $2 million worth of looted items were returned, often forsaken on roadsides, by Sunday. unruffled here are photographs from the past week in quake-affected Chile.

The Chile earthquake has once again shown how merciless nature can be at times. The 8.8 magnitude Chile earthquake was as horrific as it could get. Regular aftershocks of a magnitude of around 6 were reported after the quake.

An earthquake which was 8.8 on the richter scale, hit south central chile on Saturday morning, it struck in the wee hours which in turn triggered Tsunami. It killed a minimum of six people, also rattled buildings in Santiago.
