HYDERADABAD (DLN), 21st May 2010: Above 70,000 persons have been removed & moved to 300 aid campgrounds due to Cyclone “Laila” struck sea-shore area of Andhra Pradesh (AP). A massive population was removed in 4 southern costal regions of Prakasam, Guntur, Krishna & Nellore.

The intense cyclone storm Laila approached forward from the Andhra Pradesh coast close to Bapatla in Guntur district in the afternoon hours on Thursday. Authorities told huge storm surge were visible in the Bengal-Bay when the cyclone strike the coast about 50 km from Bapatla town. Harsh winds with a speed of 125 km/h wrought terrible near and far the coast as Laila approaches forward from the coast after transforms its duration repeatedly during the previous 3 days.
