Anil Ambani group’s appeal has been rejected by the Supreme Court today for cheaper gas from Mukesh Ambani on grounds of a family accord, saying the government had the sovereign right on cost and use of fuel.

The dispute between Mukesh Ambani and Anil Ambani is on the deal of selling gas to Reliance Natural Resources by Reliance Industries of Mukesh Ambani at the below market rates agreed in family settlement in 2005 for dividing the business after their father’s death. The petroleum Ministry has been accused by Anil Ambani for taking the favors of Reliance Industries.[smartads]
Investors of Reliance are in threat as the row between Ambani brothers. The government has appealed a formal request with the Supreme Court to intrude in Ambani case. The hearing is for this case is on 20th July. But now it is on 20th October. The mother of Ambani Brothers – Kokilaben – wanted to end this impasse.
There is the uncertainty in this case but the head researcher V.K. Sharma said that the amicable settlement is expected to boost and salutary effect to the market, substantial wealth as resources and push up the Reliance shares.
